Job Summary:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the M&E framework and systems of [Your Organization]. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of program activities to stakeholders and donors. The M&E Manager will work closely with program teams to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support evidence-based decision-making and program improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. M&E Framework Development: Develop and maintain an M&E framework that aligns with program objectives, outcomes, and indicators.
  2. Data Collection and Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and management of program data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
  3. Monitoring Activities: Monitor program activities to assess progress against targets and outcomes.
  4. Data Analysis: Analyze program data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Reporting: Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors.
  6. Capacity Building: Build the capacity of program staff and partners in M&E principles and practices.
  7. Quality Assurance: Ensure that program data collection and reporting adhere to quality standards and best practices.
  8. Evaluation: Plan and conduct program evaluations and impact assessments.
  9. Learning and Adaptation: Promote a culture of learning within the organization by using M&E findings to inform program adaptation and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E systems for international development programs, including familiarity with various M&E methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring M&E staff or teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee M&E activities within established timelines.
  • Experience in conducting training and capacity-building sessions on M&E for program staff and partners.
  • Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and experience in preparing high-quality reports for submission to donors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and [Specify Any Other Relevant Languages].
